A good way to start improving your self-esteem is to work on your negative self-talk. There are a lot of bad things we think about ourselves or about what we can do. We tend to criticize ourselves and be really mean about it. The thing with this behavior is that we don’t even notice it anymore, and we don’t think that this is a really bad thing. But negative self-talk can certainly damage your self-esteem and self-confidence. All this criticism only makes you focus on your failures or weaknesses.

Affirmations can help you to start boosting your self-esteem and self-confidence by focusing your attention on good things about yourself and taking your mind off the negative stuff you are used to paying attention to.
